We met in the most 2021 way possible: swiping on Hinge while stuck at home with COVID. Yep, both of us were sick and bored in quarantine, but clearly, something good came out of it.

Our first date was at Alma Latina Cocina in Baltimore. Between the amazing food and even better company, it was an easy “yes” to a second date. A month later, on Valentine’s Day, Gavin said, “I love you” first. (No pressure or anything, right?) Luckily, I felt the same.

The next three years flew by in a whirlwind of adventures. We hiked Zion National Park, wandered through Italy, soaked up the sun in the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic, relaxed on Martha’s Vineyard, and froze in Iceland—but in the best way possible. We blended our doggie families and built a life that just felt right.

In August 2024, we decided to make it official, and two months later, we got married in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family.

From a random swipe to building a whole life together, it’s been the best kind of journey—and we’re just getting started.
